This recipe for sliders is a fusion between a Philly cheese steak and sausage and peppers. Do I need to say anything else, besides this super quick recipe will blow your mind.
Directions:
1. Chop up into strips 1 white or yellow onion and 2 green peppers, and put in a pan over medium heat. Caramelize in some butter and olive oil until they start to get soft, but the onion hasn't yet turned a deep amber (should be more of a golden).
2. Brown 2lbs of Italian sausage in a ban on med-high heat and add S&P, oregano, and garlic powder to taste. Cook the meat and make sure that there is a nice brown crust forming leave the meat in chunks about the size of a quarter (not chopped into really small pieces).
Assembly:
1.Cut a set of Kings Hawaiian sweet rolls (It doesn't have to be these but they work the best by far) in half and put (hopefully homemade) mayo on both sides (only one side if you don't like mayo.
2. put shredded monetary jack cheese on the bottom, then the sausage, then the peppers and onions, and then slices of provolone cheese.
3. Put the top rolls on and cover with foil and bake in an oven at 350F or 175C for 15-20 mins. Take them out and brush the tops with a butter mix of melted butter, parsley (optional but recommended), and garlic powder. 4. After brushing put back in the oven for about 5 mins and take them out when the top of the rolls are starting to toast and harden, but the center is still soft. Take them out and enjoy!
