Deer Head Hot dogs

Deer Head Hot Dogs

These hot dogs are similar to smash burgers, they also (probably) use the Maillard Reaction to create hot dogs that are crispy and perfectly seared. They are really easy to make, and they are 10 times better than regular hot dogs. This is for all beef and already cooked hot dogs. If they are uncooked then you might have to cook them regularly (like boiling), and then use this method.

Directions:

1. Cut the hot dogs down the middle (about 90% of the way) so they are still together, but you can flip then over like an open book upside down.

2. Put your burner on mid-high heat and place the dogs in a cast iron skillet, or stainless steel pan with oil, and press down with a weight, or keep them pressed down with a spatula. When they are browned and crispy, flip them over.

3. When both sides are seared place in a bun with your desired condiments (a pickle down the middle is really good) and enjoy!
